LOS ANGELES -- Hundreds of movie fans who created a tent city outside the Nokia Plaza in downtown Los Angeles received a star-studded surprise ahead of Thursday's "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" premiere.
Twilight stars Peter Facinelli, Billy Burke, Julia Jones and Jackson Rathbone showed up Wednesday and handed out movie-related goodies for about an hour. The stars also took time to pose for pictures with fans and sign autographs.
The so-called Twi-hards set up a makeshift campground outside the Nokia Theater on Sunday, hoping to attend Thursday's movie premiere, which begins at 7:30 p.m. local time.
Some drove from as far away as Michigan for the chance to see the stars.
All three of the main stars, Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are expected to attend the premiere.
Aproximately 9,000 wristbands were being handed out to the movie fans. According to Nokia officials, wristbands must be worn until the premiere is over. Any wristband that has been tampered with or removed will not be considered valid.
Nokia officials also issued a list of rules for campers.
Overnight camping is allowed in designated areas only, starting in the Nokia Plaza.
Only 4'x4' tents are allowed. No drugs or alcohol allowed on premises.
No cooking or amplified music will be allowed.
Twilight Eclipse hits theaters nationwide June 30.
