Michael Lohan and fiancee Kate Major welcomed a baby boy Wednesday morning in Florida, shortly after the new papa's oldest child, Lindsay Lohan, left court in Los Angeles.

The baby boy, Landon Major Lohan, was born at 11:39 a.m. PST, weighed in at 7 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 19 ¾ inches long, according to TMZ, which said Michael Lohan cut the umbilical cord.

So that makes a half-brother for Lindsay, who also has a sister, two brothers and a half-sister. At least she'll know about this half-sibling before the kid can, you know, drive. Not like last time.

As for Lilo, court was rather uneventful, though she did create a bit of drama ahead of time by attempting to skip attendance with the help of a note from her doctor claiming an upper respiratory infection that made it unwise for her to fly.

At the last minute she felt well enough to travel, said her new attorney, Mark Heller, who replaces Shawn Chapman Holley, travels with a rabbit's foot on his briefcase and told the assembled media after the hearing that: "Justice always has to be tempered with mercy, and jail is not always the answer."

The attorney is due back in court on the matter — it's a double-header dealing with Lohan's alleged lying to police about the details of a car accident last year, and the probation that's been revoked as a result of the accusation — on March 1 for pretrial hearings, with a trial date set for March 18.

One other tidbit coming out of court Wednesday: Judge Stephanie Sautner is retiring, so the case will be assigned to whoever takes her place.
