Dave Grohl has become a keeper of the flame of the Sound City recording studio in Van Nuys, made famous in early sessions with Fleetwood Mac and still revered when Grohl and Nirvana recorded there. Grohl has made a documentary about the studio and gathered Sound City artists for a sold-out show at the Hollywood Palladium on Thursday night.
