Jennifer Hudson is well aware of the rumors that she and fiancé David Otunga had broken up and was quick to address them Sunday during an interview with “Access Hollywood” on the American Music Awards red carpet.
“We’re going to get married,” said Huson when asked about the wedding. “I know they said we had broken up. We’ve never broken up. We’re like ‘Where did that come from?’”
Otunga, who was a contestant on VH1’s “I Love New York” before becoming a WWE Superstar, proposed to Hudson in September 2008. The couple has a 2-year-old son together, David Jr.
“We’re still here, but we’re very busy people,” Hudson said. “He’s always on the road. I’m always on the road. I know people are like ‘Why aren’t they together?’ We are, we just do it at home in Chicago. That’s out meeting place. And that’s where our wedding will be, at home in Chicago, with family.”
Hudson recently told In Touch Weekly that she’s always had a specific wedding date in mind but did not reveal when that would be.
