Lana and the police leave without Jude, who is cremated according to the monsignor. But we know that Jude is really being stored in solitary confinement for an argument she had with Timothy Howard in which she said, "I am more sane now as a mad woman than I ever was as the head of Briarcliff."
If her definition of sane is spacing out and daydreaming about dancing with mental patients then I'd agree.
Lana sees a doctor to have an abortion, but as we already know from seeing Bloody Face II talk about skinning cats, she has a change of heart.
"I can't," she says. "No more death."
Lana gives birth to the son of Bloody Face and still wants nothing to do with the killer's offspring.
Bring it on home
Grace gives birth to a baby boy and the child is promptly taken away because Kit and Grace are deemed unfit as parents.
The nuns just might change their minds if they saw what an orphanage did to Thredson.
There is good news for Kit however. Once the confession tapes are leaked, the monsignor has no reason to hold Kit hostage for Bloody Face's crimes.
Kit is released and he bargains for Grace's freedom and custody of their child. Everything is roses and sunshine as the couple returns to Kit's old home. That is until Kit hears a startling noise and finds Alma sitting in the house with a baby of her own.
Maybe the aliens aren't physically harmful but they do have a cruel sense of humor.
In light of their recent clash, it's safe to say Jude is no longer fantasizing herself unveiling her red undergarments to Monsignor Timothy Howard. Those thoughts are better kept locked away in her mind, along with the ones of her one night stands and hit and run accident.
We already know Bloody Face II is twisted from watching his dialogue with the psychiatrist, so the scenes with the prostitute seemed unnecessary. He solves his calcium deficiency and mommy issues by feeding on the breasts of call girl, but we didn't learn much that we didn't already know about his character.
Show creator Ryan Murphy likes to push the envelope with scenes that feature excessive violence or sexuality. Some of these scenes make the show unique and entertaining but some go too far.
Lana's first abortion attempt was one of those borderline weird moments. There was another one this episode that featured a flashback of Thredson in his necrophilia attempt on Lana's ex-lover Wendy. At least we can take solace in the fact that, as a dead man, Thredson has nothing else to skin, decapitate, or rape.
What to expect next episode
Sister Jude remains the monsignor's sole opposition, Lana benefits from her expose book sales and the grown-up Bloody Face Jr. wants to meet his mommy. The Angel of Death comes for Jude but she's not ready to die.
