Get to know Tony B...
I’m Tony B. and I’m a chemist.Ok, not really. But I still remember being fascinated by my 8th grade science class and declaring that I would grow up to be a chemist. Not bad right? I figured I’d be super smart and make tons of money doing something. What exactly, I had no clue, but hey it’s only details. This dream lasted all of two years when I finally took my first chemistry class in high school and realized I hated chemistry.
Back to square one.
I ended up getting into radio almost by accident in high school. What started off as a part-time job working at a tiny AM News station ended up being a full time career with stops at a couple of stations in Illinois. Notable highlights included a News station (where I almost got kicked out of a city council meeting), a Country station (yeah, I needed money that bad) and a Celine Dion-type station (I only fell asleep on the air once!).
And now since 2003, I’ve called Lafayette and the surrounding areas home as the Program Director of B102-9. I’m having a blast here loving the town and the people in it!
